piece_three is an object worn on the hand for fanning oneself and bears the closest resemblance to the traditional fan among the other objects. The advantage here, however, is that the hand is not solely dedicated to this purpose and remains capable of grasping objects or similar activities.

For piece_three, you’ll need a lightweight and breathable fabric. If you like, you can make one side out of a mesh fabric, but this increases the degree of difficulty a little. A tip for fabric selection is Tyvek fabric, as it is lightweight and affordable. Alternatively, you can use a flexible and elastic fabric to balance any sewing inaccuracies.

The color of your fabric should be light, as this allows good reflection of sunlight and prevents the fabric from absorbing heat. You can choose a white, off-white, silver, or light gray fabric for this purpose.

Cut the pattern piece twice on the fabric fold, and do not add seam allowance. If you have large palms, you can add seam allowance on the right and left sides. An additional note: if you are using a fabric that frays and you want to fold it or sew a hem, you must also use seam allowance. Cut along the pattern piece (red line). 

Now, place the right sides of the fabric x on x together and stitch the left sides with a narrow seam allowance. If necessary, press the seam allowance inward and stitch the darts close to the edge.

Now, place the fabric right sides together and sew the side seams. You may want to topstitch the side seams close to the edge if desired.

The following step applies only to fraying fabrics: Fold the upper seam allowance or the upper hem double inwards and stitch it securely. The same applies to the lower hem. 

Now, fold folds 1, 3, 4, 6 (and on the other side, 7, 9, 10, 12) in the direction away from the glove and stack them on top of each other. Stitch close to the edge. Turn the glove over and fold parts 2, 5, (8, 11) in the direction away from the glove. Stack them on top of each other and stitch close to the edge.
